Introduction
At ESSB, kids don’t just “play around” they learn football in a proper way. Our coaching focuses on three main areas: Skills, Fitness and Game Sense. This balance helps kids become confident players and understand the game better.
Whether your child is a beginner or already playing, we train step-by-step with age-wise levels and regular game practice.
1) Football Skills: Strong Basics First
Skills are the foundation of football. At ESSB, we start with simple techniques and improve them over time. Kids learn to control the ball comfortably and play with confidence.
- Dribbling: Keeping the ball close, changing direction, speed control
- Passing: Short passes, long passes, accuracy and timing
- First Touch: Controlling the ball in one touch and moving quickly
- Shooting: Finishing technique, power + placement
- Ball Control: Stops, turns, shielding and basic 1v1 moves
2) Fitness: Speed, Agility & Stamina (Age-Safe)
Fitness is important, but it should be done safely for kids. Our fitness training is included inside football drills so it feels fun and natural. We focus on building athletic ability without overloading the body.
- Speed: Short sprints, quick reactions, fast feet
- Agility: Balance, coordination, direction change
- Stamina: Longer play time, controlled running, endurance games
- Strength Basics: Body control, posture, core stability (no heavy weights)
“A fit player can play better, stay confident and avoid injuries.”
3) Game Sense: Understanding Football Smartly
Many kids can do drills, but real football is about decision making. Game sense means knowing what to do at the right time when to pass, when to move, and how to support teammates. We teach this through small-sided games and match situations.
- Positioning: Where to stand, how to create space
- Decision Making: Pass, dribble or shoot at the right moment
- Team Play: Supporting, communication, quick passing
- Defending Basics: Marking, tackling safely, intercepting
- Match Awareness: Reading the game and staying focused
How We Teach All 3 Together
At ESSB, every session includes a mix of skills + fitness + game play. We do drills first, then small games, and finally match-based practice. This way kids enjoy training and also improve properly.
- Warm-up + movement games
- Skill drills (dribbling/passing/shooting)
- Fitness inside football drills (speed + agility)
- Small-sided games to build game sense
Conclusion
Kids at ESSB learn more than just kicking a ball. They build strong football skills, improve fitness, and develop game understanding with regular match practice. This is what helps them grow into confident and smarter players.
